as all you grubbeaters are aware saturday night was a pretty grand night…sans disco injuires and sam’s stitches. although i would love to go into detail about the raging (yes i said raging) dance party that took place at neon liger my job is simple…review food. so with out further a due here is what i think about boca fiesta. it rocks. simple as that. two generous pitchers of margaritas, free chips and salsa, nachos and veggie tacos with two sides all for 11.25. who wouldn’t love it if only for the price. if that isn’t enough the food is actually quite good. the menu although not extensive has something for everyone. being a vegetarian I am very picky when choosing where to dine, and this place is veggie heaven. not only to they offer the normal veggie taco/burrito they also have tempeh and tvp which is awesome in my book. so boca works like this you can get either two tacos(soft or hard), a burrito or a taco salad. choose one and pick your fillings, for the carnivores options include chicken, pork, steak, fish and check this gator…yes for real. on a side note every month they have a special protein and any one that has a craving for wild boar well october is your lucky month. ok back to the menu. vegetarian choices include tempeh, tvp or veggie. after that you get to choose two of three sides which are salad, rice and beans or corn on the cob. if the taco / burrito/ taco salad is enough for you go down the ala carte road which makes your meal even cheaper. that is usually my route of choice seeing as complimentary chips and salsa are brought to you once you sit down. now that i have gone over most of the food, lets get to the goods… alcohol. every time i have visited i have gotten a pitcher of margaritas, at 18 bucks why not? they come pretty heavy on the tequila so it seems like more then fair price. if tequila shots or margaritas aren’t your thing no worries they have a pretty extensive beer menu as well as wine (how classy). so all in all boca fiesta is pretty awesome, and what makes it even better is it sits right in the center of downtown gainesville so its very convenient for a late night dinner if you plan on going out after. so stop on by Saturday night… im sure i’ll be there with my pitcher getting ready to dance at liger. cheers, liz.

Sounds like fun !
